First steps

First off the staff of Phalanx Wars would like to say welcome! You have entered a world of chaos that pits player versus player in a battle where strategy reigns supreme. Those that develop their civilizations quickly and defend their land against all those that covet the goods of others will thrive. Alliances will be forged, enemies will be made and battles will be won and lost. Do you have what it takes to survive? Are you quick of whit enough to fend off attackers and take out those weaker than yourself? Only the next few days will tell.

Some things you should consider before you fully immerse yourself in the action of Phalanx Wars are some basic strategies that any would be conqueror should take into heavy consideration.

I. You need resources! Even though at the most basic level all cities will produce some amounts of wood, food, iron, gold and stone the amounts are no where near enough to sustain a mighty empire. I highly suggest that you start by building both a Stone Mine and a Lumber Camp because both are essential for creating new buildings and defenses.

II. Speaking of defenses you will probably want to create at least some basic first line of defense so your not easy pickings for other new players. I suggest a Wall, Barracks and Outpost

III. Now that you have some basic defensive buildings maybe you should add someone to defend them? Spearmen are cheap and after a few upgrades of your Barracks they come out faster then baby rabbits.

IV. Feel free to attack other cities! I wouldn’t suggest going after the people at the top of the leader board but chances are good that somewhere close by there are one or two cities that are not being paid much attention to that would make great targets for raids. Remember each successful raid brings home resources!

V. Remember to defend your City! If you click on the command center you can see if anyone has sent an army your way and if so how long it will take for them to reach you and what units they are sending your way. I wouldn’t recommend sending out your soldiers if there is an army on the way to attack your city.

VI. USE THE FORUMS! There is no better place to meet other players and maybe form an alliance or two, remember there is strength in numbers!
